Jim, a third generation bricklayer, comes from the North West of England where he undertook all of his bricklaying training working in the family business. Later he branched out on his own working through the entire spectrum of construction/building industry. More than 25 years ago Jim relocated to Auckland New Zealand where after a short settling in period he started up his own business, gaining extensive experience in hard landscaping.

Several years ago he built his own Masonry/concrete block house and got involved in foundation work where he specializes in repairs to existing concrete foundations, underpinning, structural repairs, basement development and replacement of damaged bases.

Jim still covers all of his Masonry work especially repairs to older brick structures. He is passionate about the restoration of Heritage buildings in particular buildings with important historical masonry detailing.
